A Bamboo Stick peirced On Her Flesh

Last Friday, I was busy from morning until 3:30 pm, and almost 4 pm, I felt so tired so I called my nieces who had been playing outside the house to come in our room to take a nap. So, they came in and lied down on bed, and I was there with them too, and I was half awake and half asleep, I noticed Kristel came out of the room, and I called her to come but she didn’t come back.  Since, I was so tired and sleepy so I ignored her going out and I went on with my agenda to take a nap.

Not long enough, while I was resting, I heard her crying a lot, so I came out of my room and when to her house, and when arrived to her house, I saw that her left tummy had blood, so I quickly checked it out and I saw a portion of the bamboo stick that pierced on her flesh, I panicked a bit because I didn’t know what to do. Then her mother forced to remove the bamboo stick from Kristel flesh, but I didn’t not to do it, because I know how painful it would be for the little girl. Therefore, I promptly decided to bring her to the doctor rather than pulling the stick, and when we arrived in the hospital, the slight fever stroke on my niece, and I was bit scared. Before she underwent a minor surgery, she had x-ray first, and the good thing that the bamboo stick pierced vertically, so it didn’t go straight to her intestine, thank you Lord. After the x-ray, the doctor looked at the result, and she told me that we had nothing to worry about because the stick only pierced unto her flesh horizontally. But the doctor said, that she phoned surgeon to do the surgery.

And the time came that the surgery would be performed, I was there too, and I felt pity of my niece crying hard when the doctor treated her. I cried when I saw the long bamboo stick that left in her flesh, as soon as the stick was removed from her flesh, the blood flow, and the nurse and the doctor, cleaned it up, and treated the bruised well. The good thing was that I immediately brought her to the doctor, thank God for the wisdom that He gave to me, right at that very moment.

You might wonder why my niece was pierced by a bamboo stick. Well, the story goes like this, her mother, asked her elder brother to climb on the mango tree to pick up, the chayote fruits, that had been hanging on the mango tree. The chayote vines climbed on the tree, and it bears lots of fruits, so that’s the reason their mother asked his elder son to harvest the fruits. On the other hand, my niece was under the tree too gathering the chayote fruits. Accidentally, the bamboo stick fell down because my nephew couldn’t hold it tight, and that stick went straight to Kristel’s body.

Thank God, kristel is healed now, though she had been struggle every time, I cleaned up her wound. And today, the wound is getting dried and she didn’t cry when I cleaned it by using the antiseptic.

We decided to cut the big branch of the mango tree to avoid another accident to happen because we all know that our nephew would climb again on that tree to harvest the chayote fruits. So now, no more chayote to be harvested and hopefully their mother will not grow chayote vine on a three anymore.

I took this photo of her a day before she had an accident. She is loving, thoughtful, and so lovable, she always goes wherever I go, when I am in the kitchen cooking she is with me. She is like my tail. Sweet. And she got accident, she didn't go to anybody except me, so I carried her all the time, when she got accident. After her surgery, she slept on my lap and she got up, she asked for food. Thank God for my little ones. Indeed, they are the joy of my heart here, and I always say that they're my crown here while I am at home.

This is the bamboo stick that left in my niece's body. It was not a joke at all. I mentioned above that I cried when I saw how big the stick was. I cried because my niece's life was at stake if I never brought her to the doctor immediately. I truly keep on thanking God for guiding me what to do.
