The Presents For Them

Yesterday, I finally done buying little presents for all my little siblings and I stored the presents at my other brother house wherein the little ones wouldn’t often go inside their room because if I will keep them at my mother’s house surely they’ll be able to see the presents and it would not be a surprised for each one of them.

Last night one of my little nieces saw those little presents and she exclaimed that they’ll be receiving gifts on New Year’s Eve. But I told her just to keep quiet and not to tell her cousins that they’ll be receiving gifts soon. Then she agreed with me. I am pretty sure she’ll not tell her cousins. And also I am pretty sure that she’s so excited to have a gift too even she never knows yet which one is for hers.

For myself, I am really happy and excited to give gifts to all my little ones and of course for my mother too. For my mother, I bought a nice ring and I am sure she likes this ring. Prior to seeing the ring, I was thinking that I’d buy other gift for her but when I saw the ring I immediately decided to buy it for my mama.

For my brothers, sisters, brother-in-laws and sister-in laws as of this time I couldn’t give them anything and I am sure that they would understand the situation. But deep in my heart, how I wish I could give to them even little things but budget didn’t allow yet. Hopefully in coming years and I will be able to give to all of them.

Happy New Year Everyone and have a super New Year 2011. May the fullness of God’s blessings be upon us all as we face this coming blessed year 2011.

I heard Them Singing

Saturday afternoon, while I was doing some grocery shopping for the ingredients for the chopsuey I received a text from my senior pastor wife asking me to preach one of the churches. Since, it’s the work of the LORD and the congregation needed a preacher so I never said no to that, without delayed, I said yes.

I’ve done buying all the stuff that I needed and prepared them before I started studying for the sermon for the next day. Actually, while doing some other things, I truly prayed that God would give me some words to preach and most importantly God would anoint the words that I would speak to HIS children.

God has been so faithful, when I started studying HIS word, He poured out HIS wisdom and insights and with HIS helped I made the sermon outlines that seemed so simple but it has great revelation from HIM. Thank YOU LORD. So, Sunday came, I stood with boldness in the LORD because I knew He’s going to move in our midst. Indeed, He moved in our midst in HIS own way.

Actually, it’s their Christmas party at the church where I preached and it’s the Christmas party in the church where I am a member too. So that day, I missed the activities in my church, and I missed seeing my little ones performing for the on that day too. But I never missed the baptismal service that’s held in one of the swimming pools near to our place because after my lunch at the church where I preached, I headed back to my home church and…..

When I arrived in the gate at my home church, I heard them singing, “Happy birthday to you” and I thought they’re singing birthday song to someone else. Then a couple of women, young people and others came closer to me and greeted me a happy birthday. Oh! That’s the time I realized that they’re singing birthday song for me not for someone else. Smiles…. My heart melt while they continued singing and extended their greetings and gave gifts to me….Praise the LORD for the people who remembered my day. God bless you everyone.

I Was Supposed to be the First Person

On December 24, I had to travel to Cagayan De Oro City for a very important errand. On my way going there, there’s no traffic so we arrived on time. Before I went to my friend’s house to get some important papers I had my brunch at the food court in Ororama Cogon. Then I headed to my friend’s house. I never stayed longer there, after a couple of minutes I headed back to the City and caught the bus going back home.

What I usually do when I travel back home, I always to choose to ride in a bus that’s going to Davao City via Buda, though there are lots of air-conditioning buses traveling up to my home town only. The disadvantage is that they only stop at the new bus station which is quite far from the town proper, and the transportation going to the town proper are not very accessible, so that’s the reason I always choosing to ride buses going to Davao because they pass to the town proper. On December 24, around 3 pm, I excitedly climbed in a bus going to Davao via Buda but security told me that they never stopped in my town, but I could still ride in the bus provided that I paid the same fare as the passengers going to Davao City which I should pay 540 pesos. So, I decided not to ride in that bus because the fare was much beyond my budget, besides it’s quite unfair because if I’d chose to ride in that bus I would pay more than 3 persons because the regular fare to my town is 150 pesos.

Anyway, I went to the section wherein the air-conditioning buses travel to my town only. And there were lots of passengers queuing and I queued there too. Here came the bus coming, it’s so timely that bus stop in front of me, and I was very closed to the door. And when the door opened I was supposed to be the first person who could go inside the bus, unfortunately, a man who’s much bigger and I pushed me and other person pushed me too. And there were a few passengers trying to push me but I tried to hold on tight until I stood on the first ladder and I finally made it. Then, I was really smiling while sitting because for me it’s a funny experienced.

I honestly appreciate the Thai because I experienced many times traveling at peak hours from Hatyai to Satun, even how many passengers were queuing and trying to climb in the bus but I never experienced what I experienced a few days ago.

Why They're Keeping Them?

I guess, a couple of months ago I wrote something about the post office here in my town. Since mailed the important documents, I regularly checked mails in the post office to see whether I got one or more letters from the embassy. There has been time that I just went to the post office and asked one of the employees there if I got letters, and I even spoke with the postman who delivers mail to our village particularly in our subdivision. But I only got answers that no letters for me.

Yesterday, I received a text from my pastor wife telling me that I got two letters and it’s urgent. So, I immediately when to the parsonage and got my letters. When I looked at the first mail it’s received in my hometown post office on October 13 and it only delivered yesterday. And in fact, I went to the post office every other day just to check if I got letter but no one shown to me that I got a letter in the month of October. I was really disappointed because the contained of the letter was very important to me. Guess what? I never completed the documents that has been asking from me due to the letter arrived very, very, very late. Imagine? The letter has been in the post office for a couple of months already. If you’re in my side, what you would do with these people working in the post office? Anyways, I never complaint a lot because I was scared that they might throw away my coming letters.

Here comes the second letter, it arrived in my hometown post office on December 16 and it only delivered to me on December 22. How many days they kept my letter in their office and when I went there they told me I didn’t get any letter. Why they're keeping them? What are they trying to do with letters then, if they don’t deliver it immediately to the recipient/s? You can guess, I think.....

It Never Gets Fix Yet

The other day, I went back to the repair shop and brought my digi cam as the repairer told me to do so. I was bit excited of going there coz I was really excited that it could be fixed and could be used again too.

When I arrived at the shop the technician checked it out and I was there looking closely while he’s checking and clicking on my camera. Honestly, while looking at him checking my camera I never had that confident that he could fix it coz just even scrolling the icon he never knew how to do it. Gently, I asked him if he could really fix the digi cam. He answered me honestly that he was afraid to open up the digi cam coz he’s not sure if he could repair it. For me, it was good enough to know that he told me honestly rather that opening the digi cam and it makes the digi cam never work at all.

In other words, I am not disappointed that my cam never gets fix yet. Anyway, it still works during night time without lights on. So, I can still use it at night, if I want to. ^_^

Inexpensive or Expensive

The other day my sister-in-law went to the market to buy some food. While she’s in the market she texted her daughter to cook rice before she came home and she put her cellphone in her sling bag after she sent a text to her daughter and she continued buying some stuff.

Unknowingly, her cellphone was gone and she didn’t notice that it’s gone until she arrived home. She taught that she might not put her cellphone properly back in her bag. But she said she’s 100% sure that she did put her cellphone back to her bag. But she put her sling bag on her side not in front.

Anyways, what to do since her cellphone has gone. Better to be very careful next time. For me, if I have the feeling not to bring my cellphone I’d always obey it and if I’d bring my cellphone I usually put it in the secret pocket or even inside my underwear (under my waistline) if I needed to. Do I sound weird? Heeheheh And also, I never use my cellpone in the public that often, unless it’s very necessary to use it.

Oh, I remember something, my 3rd year high school nephew and I were looking for the big pack milk for his 11 months old sister. And I saw him displaying his attractive cellphone in the public and I saw a man was eyeing on his cellphone so I told him not to show his cellphone in public. And I reminded him a couple of times. Actually, his first cellphone ( my gift to him) was stolen too so that’s the reason I keep reminding him.

Well, back to my sister-in-law, just today someone gave her a new cellphone. Thank God. These days, it seems without cellphones it’s not that easy because it’s quite important for a very important communications. It does not matter whether it’s the latest models or old ones, inexpensive or expensive as long as it still can be useful, I will surely go for it. Would you agree with me? Smiles….

Visiting And Eating

I would always like to be very busy and that’s my nature, I guess. ^_^. I would say I was so called busy today not because I was doing something for the whole day. Winks.. But today after our church service, some of us were gladly visiting, and eating at two different churches. The first church we visited has their Christmas party and is located in the center of my home town. Then, the second church is located in the other town, (Maramag, Bukidnon) I really didn’t have an idea how many kilometers from Valencia to Maramag so I can’t say how far it’s from my hometown.

Anyways, back to our nice time at the churches that we went to. For me, personally, I was very pleased seeing my old church mates especially at the first church that we went to. Because most of the members there we grew up together in the LORD. It so happens that I transferred to the nearest church wherein my family members have been attending to. Then, at the second church, I was very glad to seeing my co- young people (in our Zone) before, but of course they’re not young people anymore. They got married already and they have their own children. But still it’s a pleasant time chitchatting with them and reminiscing the old times.

Speaking of eating, at the first church, I only had skin of the roasted pig and a slice of camote(sweet potato) delight. The reason I had a bit on my first meal because I was pretty sure that there would be more food at the other church. Yes, I wasn’t mistaken because the second church has celebrating its 25th year anniversary and they’d a lechon baka (a whole roasted calf) and lots of different kinds of food and they had lechon baboy too but I didn’t have it, instead I had lots of roast beef. Hmmm yummy! With the delicious sauce it made the roast beef even tastier. Actually, I wanted to take a photo of a roasted calf, unfortunately, when we reached to the church, they cut the roasted calf into pieces already. And we’re the last visitors who arrived so when we had our meal it’s not too crowded already. Therefore, today I ate as much as I can. Yes, no more diet for today and for the coming days too…..he he he he And of course, I won't stop my walking and hiphop abs exercises everyday. ^_^ ^_^

It's Really Not Good To Know

I just came from the hospital to visit my senior pastor who has been in the hospital for a week now. At first, the diagnosed of the doctor was UTI infection so he has been taking some anti-biotic, and according the latest urine test he was healed from the infection. But his fever has come and goes, and he has lots of laboratory (blood) test already, and also had chest x-ray, and ultra sound but all the result was negative but he has not been healed from the fever.

So, the doctor recommended him to undergo the MRI to diagnose more and to know more what the cause of his fever is. And the mri will be done on Monday and it will be in CDO. That means they’ll be traveling to the city to have the MRI done.

It’s really not good to know that there have been a couple of Christmas' that he had been confined at the hospital. Before he had chemo radiation and now he has been suffering from fever that the doctor couldn't diagnose yet what’s the cause of his high fever. I am really praying that God will continue to restore my pastor health. In general, God knows best. He's our Great Physician.......
